May 18, 2025 – – – Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series action heated back up on May 16-17 with a pair of events in the states of Georgia and Tennessee. On Friday night at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge, Georgia, Cory Hedgecock timed in twelfth quickest in Group A during qualifying prior to placing fourth in his heat race. The Loudon, Tennessee native then advanced five spots during the course of the $8,000 to win headliner to land in the tenth finishing position.
At Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday evening, a $15,000 paycheck was up for grabs in the annual running of the ‘King of the Mountain.’ Cory ran seventh in his heat race and was not able to make the start in his B-Main. After receiving a series provisional and starting shotgun on the field in the 50-lapper, Cory steered his BMF racecar past ten competitors on his way to a thirteenth place showing.
