October 20, 2024 – – – The #23 team helped close out the 2024 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season on October 18-19 in the 44th Annual ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. On Friday evening during preliminary action, Cory Hedgecock stopped the clock eighth fastest in Group B in qualifying and was running strong in his heat race until suffering mechanical woes.
His right rear hub bearing exploded while in a coveted transfer position and the issues dropped Cory to a tenth place effort. Due to starting thirteenth in Saturday’s consolation event, the team opted to head home early and scratched from the B-Main, which also kept them out of the $100,000 to win crown jewel headliner.
