October 5, 2025 – – – The ninth win of the 2025 season for Cory Hedgecock Motorsports came on Saturday, October 4 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, as the #23V team captured their third straight victory with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series! Cory Hedgecock topped the 21-car field during the qualifying session and later started the 50-lap headliner from the pole position.
The Loudon, Tennessee ace then got the holeshot at the drop of the green flag and was able to fight off a slide job attempt by Trey Mills for the point before holding off a late challenge by Shane Clanton. Cory officially led each of the fifty circuits and beat Clanton to the finish line by 1.272 seconds to claim the $7,500 Peach Blossom payday. Rounding out the top five was Haiden Cowan, Garrett Smith, and Zack Mitchell. Full results from last Saturday at Senoia can be found online at www.southernthunderseries.com.
“We had a good car – gotta thank my dad for everything,” Hedgecock said in victory lane following the Peach Blossom event. “I don’t know if we were the best thing on the racetrack. I know (Shane) Clanton was underneath of me and Trey (Mills) absolutely scared the hell out of me when he slid me. He did nothing wrong, I just wasn’t ready for it. Thanks to all of our great partners on this thing and hopefully we can get a few more wins to round out the year!”
Next up for the Cory Hedgecock Motorsports team will be a visit to Cherokee Speedway on October 10-11 for the 35th edition of the Blue-Gray 100. The final two events on the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series schedule will take place at the Gaffney, South Carolina venue and Cory comes into the weekend third in the latest series point standings. An $8,022 top prize will be up for grabs later tonight in the opener, while Saturday’s annual Blue-Gray 100 grand finale will boast a whopping $35,000 winner’s check.
