February 22, 2026 – – – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series kicked off their 2026 campaign from February 19-21 at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida. The first of three high-profile events took place on Thursday night and a $10,000 payday was up for grabs. Cory Hedgecock placed seventh in his heat race prior to grabbing the third transfer spot through his B-Main. The Loudon, Tennessee ace then blasted past nine competitors during the 40-lap feature to land in the twelfth finishing position.
On Friday evening with a $12,000 top prize on the line, Cory finished a strong second in his heat race and later ran eighth in the 50-lap main event. In Saturday’s weekend finale, which boasted a $15,000 winner’s check, Cory placed ninth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and ninth in the 50-lapper. He currently sits eighth in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings exiting the Sunshine State speedplant.
