April 19, 2026 – – – From April 15-18, Cory Hedgecock and Cory Hedgecock Motorsports were in the pit area at Volunteer Speedway for the inaugural running of the ‘Gauntlet at the Gap.’ The three-race week for the #23 team kicked off with a $10,000 to win throwdown on Wednesday night. Cory grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race prior to finishing fifteenth in the final rundown of the 40-lap feature.
Following a day off on Thursday, the action at “The Gap” fired back up on Friday with a $20,000 payday up for grabs. Cory placed fifth in his heat race, third in the B-Main, and twenty-second in the 50-lapper. In Saturday’s grand finale, which boasted a hefty $30,000 top prize, Cory nabbed the fourth and final transfer position through his heat race before advancing to finish a solid tenth in the 60-lap headliner.
