October 12, 2025 – – – The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series wrapped up their version of the 2025 racing season on October 10-11 with the 35th edition of the Blue-Gray 100 at Cherokee Speedway. Up first at the historic Gaffney, South Carolina oval was an $8,022 to win weekend opener on Friday night. Cory Hedgecock placed fifth in his heat race prior to securing a victory in his B-Main. After starting the 30-lap feature from the inside of the ninth row, Cory wound up finishing nineteenth at the unfurling of the checkered flag.
The doubleheader at Cherokee Speedway then concluded on Saturday evening with the Blue-Gray 100 grand finale, which boasted a hefty $35,000 payday. Cory utilized a series provisional to start near the tail of the field in the 100-lapper. The Loudon, Tennessee ace then improved twenty positions during the course of the contest to land on the podium in third behind only victor Zack Mitchell and runner-up Brandon Overton. After the final points were tallied, Cory was credited with a second place effort in the spirited HTF point battle! Cory Hedgecock Motorsports will now turn their focus to a big Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series doubleheader at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on October 17-18. Tonight’s annual Jerry Goodwin Challenge will shell out a $5,038 winner’s check, while Saturday’s Red Farmer Tribute race boasts a $10,097 first place prize. Cory comes into the double-dip winning the last three Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series races.
