Podium Effort for Hedgecock in World 100 Preliminary Feature!

September 7, 2025 – – – Cory Hedgecock Motorsports was in the pit area at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 4-6 to take part in the 55th edition of the fabled ‘World 100.’ The biggest dirt race in the world kicked off with a pair of $12,000 to win, split-field preliminary programs. On Thursday night in the opener, Cory Hedgecock placed fifth in his Shootout race before advancing to finish twelfth in his 25-lap main event. In a similar preliminary program on Friday evening, Cory ran third in his Shootout race prior to passing four competitors during his 25-lapper to land on the podium in third behind only winner Jonathan Davenport and runner-up Nick Hoffman!

When Saturday rolled around at the 1/2-mile speedplant, the stands were overflowing with spectators and the first-ever sell out crowd in Eldora Speedway history was on hand to witness the $72,000 to win grand finale. Cory finished eighth in his loaded heat race, but was able to take advantage of a high-point provisional to gain access into the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. The Loudon, Tennessee ace then picked off eight competitors to leave the “Big E” with a solid twelfth place performance. Full results from the three-day ‘World 100’ weekend can be accessed online by clicking on www.eldoraspeedway.com.

“We got up to as high as seventh on Saturday night in the World 100 before finishing twelfth, so a strong run for us,” quoted Hedgecock following the weekend. “I tore the deck out of this thing it seemed like every time we hit the racetrack. Sorry to my guys for that, but we were wicked quick early in the night – just got to get a little better in the slick. We’ve got a solid piece to work with though and I look forward to trying to get this new Longhorn Chassis better and better.”

One single event is on the racing calendar this week for the #23V team, as Cory will return to action on Thursday, September 11 at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway. The ‘Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher’ will take place on Thursday at the Bulls Gap, Tennessee facility and a $20,000 top prize will be up for grabs with the FloRacing Night in America Series.
