Fifth-place finish at Boyd's Speedway

On Saturday afternoon Cory Hedgecock entered Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series action at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.). Drawing 36 Late Models for the Joe Lee Johnson Memorial Gobbler, Cory secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth-fastest qualifying lap in his group. Improving four spots in the 40-lap affair, Hedgecock posted a fourth-place finish. He trailed Ronnie Johnson, Jensen Ford, and Chase King to the checkers with Eli Beets coming in fifth.
