Early exit in Spring Nationals stop at Tri-County

Cory Hedgecock returned to the driver’s seat of his Noble Knights Construction Services No. 23 Late Model on Thursday evening for the mid-week Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals event at Tri-County Raceway (Brasstown, N.C.). With his time trial result placing him on the third row for the $4,053-to-win A-Main, Cory got turned around while challenging for a top-five run that ended his night early. (Josh James Artwork)

For the second stop of the weekend, Hedgecock visited Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) on Friday for another the $4,053-to-win A-Main. Earning the fifth-starting position for the feature via preliminary events, Cory was ran over by another competitor during a caution that brought an early end to his night.

With his Super Late Model parked on Saturday, Cory traveled to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) to enter his Crate Late Model into battle with the United Championship Racing Alliance (UCRA). Despite a solid qualifying effort, Hedgecock ran into the same results in the feature when another driver damaged his radiator, bringing a disappointing ending his weekend.
