Fifth-place finish in Iron-Man Classic at Smoky Mountain

Saturday night found Cory Hedgecock in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series-sanctioned Iron-Man Classic. With 25 Late Models entered, Hedgecock posted the fifth fastest time in his group, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Cory gained five spots in the 40-lapper to place fifth. He trailed Hudson O’Neal, Spencer Hughes, Dakotah Knuckles, and Zack Mitchell across the line.

Cory is currently second in the Iron-Man Southern Series point standings.
