Hedgecock attends North-South 100 weekend at Florence

Shortly after wrapping up his time trial session, wet weather and an unfavorable forecast forced officials to cancel the remainder of Thursday’s prelim.
On Friday, Hedgecock followed up the 18th-fastest time in his group with a seventh-place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in his preliminary feature, Cory marched forward nine spots in the 25-lapper to register a 12th-place finish.
For the finale on Saturday, Cory secured his spot into the $75,000-to-win North-South 100 with a runner-up finish in his B-Main after finishing fourth in his heat. Starting in 22nd, Hedgecock improved five spots in the talent-laden field to finish 17th.
