Pair of Top-5 finishes with Crate Racin' USA at Talladega Short Track

Earning the third-starting position for the $3,700-to-win preliminary feature via his qualifying effort, Hedgecock raced to a third-place finish in the 37-lap affair. He stood alongside race-winner Joseph Joiner and runner-up Ronnie Johnson on the podium.

For the second round of the Red Farmer Tribute on Saturday, Cory secured his spot into the finale with the second-fastest lap in his time trial group. With $6,000 on the line, Hedgecock faded two spots on a one-lane track to finish fifth.
