Seventh-place finish in Southbound Throwdown at All-Tech
The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series brought Cory Hedgecock and 33 competitors to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) over the weekend for the two-day Southbound Throwdown.
Aboard his SFP Performance Systems No. 23 Late Model, Hedgecock’s qualifying effort on Friday positioned him on the fifth row for the opener. Chasing the $5,000 top prize, Cory dropped one spot in the 40-lapper to finish 11th.
On Saturday, Cory raced into the $15,000-to-win Southbound Throwdown finale with a runner-up showing in his heat. Starting in sixth, Hedgecock lost one position on a track that saw limited passing, crossing the line in seventh.
Cory is currently in third in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series point standings.
